WWE Champion AJ Styles vs. Rusev

Rusev Day will be truly phenomenal if The Bulgarian Brute can take the WWE Championship from AJ Styles
at WWE Extreme Rules.
Rusev earned the opportunity in chaotic fashion when he outlasted Big E, The Miz, Samoa Joe and Daniel
Bryan in SmackDown LIVE’s first-ever Gauntlet Match.
Fresh off Rusev’s excellent performance in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, which included a
Triple Accolade, the tough-as-nails Bulgarian Brute is primed for victory and will be looking to transform
WWE’s most extreme day of the year into Rusev Day!
To do so, he will have to overcome one of the greatest Superstars the squared circle has to offer. And coming
off a huge victory over Shinsuke Nakamura in a savage Last Man Standing Match, Styles will be looking to use
his incredible arsenal to repel his brutal challenger.
Find out who will reign supreme at WWE Extreme Rules, this Sunday, streaming live at 7 ET/4 PT

Roman Reigns vs. Bobby Lashley

At WWE’s most Extreme night of the year, might will make right. For the first time ever, Roman Reigns will go
one-on-one against Bobby Lashley in a showdown between two absolute forces of nature.
Two of the most intense Superstars on Monday Night Raw, Reigns and Lashley were originally set to be part of a
multi-man match at the July 15 pay-per-view to decide who will become the next Superstar to challenge Universal
Champion Brock Lesnar.
However, when the high-stakes encounter was suddenly called off due to apparent problems with Lesnar’s contract
negotiations, a subsequent interaction between Reigns and Lashley turned from professional to personal in a hurry.
During their heated exchange, they proposed settling things in the ring, a notion Raw General Manager Kurt Angle
was more than happy to “take under advisement.” Then, after various attempts to team together only served to
further fuel their issues, Angle decided they would indeed settle things in the ring of the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
Will Reigns once again prove himself to be The Guy? Or will Lashley claim his biggest victory since making his
earth-shattering return to WWE? Don’t miss the action when the two powerful competitors collide at WWE Extreme Rules,
this Sunday at 7 ET/4 PT

Braun Strowman vs Kevin Owens (Steel Cage Match)

Kevin Owens, Braun Strowman is not finished with you! And that’s truly bad news for KO because Raw General Manager
Kurt Angle has announced that the reluctant competitor will be locked inside a Steel Cage with Mr. Monster in the
Bank at WWE Extreme Rules with nowhere to run and nowhere to hide.
Strowman has spent weeks making Owens’ life a living hell. In addition to throwing the object of his wrath off the
rungs and sending him crashing through a table during this year’s WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Strowman has
responded to Owens’ attempts to get on the fierce Superstar’s good side by chasing him all over Raw, flipping his
rental car and even trapping him inside a portable toilet and knocking the structure of (in)convenience off the
stage. Some might say this kind of treatment stinks!
At WWE Extreme Rules, the situation will go from rank to positively obscene when the two Superstars find themselves
trapped together inside the unforgiving steel links. Don’t miss WWE Extreme Rules, this Sunday, beginning at 7 ET/4 PT

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bludgeon Brothers vs. Team Hell No

Team Hell No is back, and they have their sights set on the SmackDown Tag Team Titles!
After one of the most unexpected reunions in WWE history, Daniel Bryan & Kane will join forces once again to
challenge The Bludgeon Brothers for the blue brand’s tag team championship at WWE Extreme Rules on Sunday, July 15,
streaming live on WWE Network.
Bryan and Kane were an unlikely team at the beginning of their journey in 2012, starting as bitter rivals who
could not stop brawling with each other. But after entering counseling under the guidance of renowned therapist
Dr. Shelby, the two learned to put aside their anger and “hug it out,” capturing the WWE Tag Team Championship
along the way. Team Hell No’s unique brand of friendship led to pain for the rest of WWE’s tandems, as they felt
the full brunt of Bryan & Kane’s unleashed fury. Though the team was extremely popular with WWE fans, the two
went their separate ways in 2013.
In recent weeks, Bryan has been dealing with the monstrous Bludgeon Brothers, who demolished him and prevented him
from earning a WWE Championship Match. Bryan took on Harper himself in one-on-one action, but he could not fight
off both of the mallet-wielding monsters once Rowan interfered. Kane made a surprise return to SmackDown LIVE to
help Bryan repel The Bludgeon Brothers, sending the WWE Universe into a frenzy. Despite some initial reservations,
Bryan embraced The Big Red Machine as fans around the world roared in approval.
Capitalizing on the surprise reunion, SmackDown LIVE General Manager Paige immediately announced that Bryan & Kane
would be squaring off with Harper & Rowan on WWE’s most extreme night of the year.
Will Team Hell No’s reunion be a successful one, or will The Bludgeon Brothers introduce Bryan & Kane to a world
of hurt? Find out at WWE Extreme Rules, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network this Sunday at 7 ET/4 PT!

Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins (30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match)

At WWE Extreme Rules, Dolph Ziggler will look to repel The Kingslayer in an Intercontinental Championship 30-Minute
WWE Iron Man Match, a bout in which the competitor with the most decisions at the end of the 30-minute time limit
will be declared the winner.
For the last few months, Seth Rollins built his identity around being a fighting Intercontinental Champion. That was
until Ziggler got an assist from Drew McIntyre and dethroned The Architect to capture the illustrious title for the
sixth time on the June 17 edition of Raw. Although Rollins technically got even by defeating Ziggler in the
championship rematch the following week, a disqualification thanks to McIntyre’s interference kept the gold around
The Showoff’s waist.
Following a bitter back-and-forth between the two competitors in a WWE.com Exclusive, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle
announced they’ll settle the score in an Iron Man showdown.
The suspense-filled WWE Iron Man Match is about as high-pressure as it gets, as any number of falls can decide the
winner once the smoke clears. Given the athleticism and competitive drive of each Superstar, it’s hard to imagine a
contest more perfect to decide the future of the workhorse title.
One must also wonder if interference from McIntyre – or even Roman Reigns – will help or hurt their ally’s cause.
After all, the last thing either Superstar can afford is a disqualification that would award a decision to their
opponent.
Don’t miss a second of the championship showdown at WWE Extreme Rules, this Sunday at 7 ET/4 PT

United States Champion Jeff Hardy vs Shinsuke Nakamura

When WWE Extreme Rules descends on The Steel City, the most extreme Superstar on SmackDown will defend his United
States Championship against the nefarious King of Strong Style.
After the champion and challenger exchanged verbal blows through social media, the first-ever showdown between
Jeff Hardy and Shinsuke Nakamura on SmackDown LIVE ended with The Artist getting himself disqualified and delivering
a fierce post-match assault on his war-torn opponent. This outcome only served to increase the animosity between the
Superstars and incited an incendiary war of words.
After having his return matchup postponed on SmackDown LIVE due to Nakamura not being medically cleared to compete,
Hardy will defend the star-spangled championship against his underhanded adversary on WWE’s most extreme night of the year.
Will Hardy see through Nakamura’s blistering strikes and underhanded tactics? Or will The King of Strong Style close his
eyes and make Jeff’s United States Title disappear? Don’t miss WWE Extreme Rules, this Sunday, streaming live at 7 ET/4 PT
on the award-winning WWE Network!

Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax (Extreme Rules Match)

At WWE Extreme Rules, Nia Jax will get her Raw Women’s Championship rematch against the very Superstar who stole the coveted
title away from her at WWE Money in the Bank, her one-time “best friend” Alexa Bliss. Even better, it will be in an Extreme
Rules Match.
The extremely volatile history between the friends turned bitter foes reached its apex when Jax defeated Five Feet of Fury
at WrestleMania to claim her first Raw Women’s Championship.
However, Alexa brought Nia’s title reign to a screeching halt at WWE Money in the Bank; after overcoming seven elite Raw and
SmackDown LIVE competitors to become Ms. Money in the Bank, Little Miss Bliss stunned the WWE Universe by interrupting the
Raw Women’s Championship Match between the reigning titleholder and Ronda Rousey on the same night. After ending their title
bout with a briefcase attack on The Baddest Women on the Planet and The Irresistible Force, Alexa cashed in her newly-captured
contract on the war-torn Nia to become a five-time Women’s Champion.
The following night on Raw, an irate Rousey was suspended for putting her hands on Raw General Manager Kurt Angle and WWE
officials as she brutalized the braggadocios new champion, but not before Angle had made the rematch between Jax and Bliss
for WWE Extreme Rules.
Bliss reinforced that she is a cunning and ruthless competitor, one who will stop at nothing to take her place at the head of
the pack, but will she be ready for Nia, a truly imposing Superstar who possesses the talent and the attitude (not to mention
the DNA) to reclaim her title in short order?
As if the stakes of the match weren’t high enough, Rousey has since made it clear that, although she has been suspended from
Raw, she will be buying a front row ticket for the pay-per-view showdown. What, if anything, she will do once she gets there
is anyone’s guess.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella vs. Asuka (with James Ellsworth suspended above the ring in a Shark Cage)

There is no denying that Asuka certainly can ruin a Mellabration any day of the week. With Carmella’s ongoing streak of luck
and her apparent renewed association with the meddling James Ellsworth, The Empress of Tomorrow faces something of an uphill
battle to best her adversary for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Something has to give, as SmackDown General Manager Paige has made a rematch between Carmella and Asuka for the illustrious
title at WWE Extreme Rules. To prevent Ellsworth from meddling, he will be suspended above the ring in a Shark Cage.
Carmella certainly seized the spotlight when she won the first-ever Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match last year – thanks
to a key assist from Ellsworth. She then cashed in her coveted contract and pinned Charlotte Flair for the gold more than 280
days later before defeating The Queen again in their rematch at WWE Backlash. The Staten Island Princess may scream at a fever
pitch, and she may be outspoken, but she is undoubtedly armed with the ability to remain on top for many Mellabrations to come.
Still, a title match against such an elite challenger such as the Japanese sensation at WWE Money in the Bank raised the
question if she would be ready for Asuka.
Prior to WrestleMania, The Empress of Tomorrow stood undefeated for well over 900 days. She won the first-ever Women’s Royal
Rumble as well as the groundbreaking WWE Mixed Match Challenge Tournament alongside The Miz, and she still stands as the
longest-reigning NXT Women’s Champion in history.
Was Carmella ready for Asuka in their first meeting… yes? Just when it looked like The Empress of Tomorrow was going to overcome
the outspoken titleholder at the June 17 pay-per-view, another masked “Asuka” suddenly appeared on the ring apron, revealing
himself to be none other than a returning Ellsworth! The distraction allowed Carmella enough time to turn the tables, pick up
another huge win and retain her title.
The following week, Asuka gained a small amount of satisfaction when she interrupted Carmella’s championship celebration and
laid out Ellsworth with a wicked kick. The Empress of Tomorrow also competed against Ellsworth in two battles of the sexes,
with Ellsworth running away from one, and Asuka forcing him to submit to the Asuka Lock in the second, though Carmella attacked
her right after. Will she get true retribution by taking away what matters most to the The Princess of Staten Island?

Raw Tag Team Champions “Woken” Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt vs. The B-Team

When The Miz was suddenly relocated to SmackDown LIVE as part of the 2018 WWE Superstar Shake-up, one-time Miztourage members
Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas suddenly found themselves in a world of uncertainty, trying to discover their identity and make an
impact on the highly-competitive Raw brand, a struggle that would result in them rechristening themselves as The B-Team.
Though it may have seemed ludicrous at the time, the pair that previously had no name and no victories to speak of suddenly
found themselves on an undefeated run, which included winning the Tag Team Battle Royal to earn the right to challenge “Woken”
Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt for the Raw Tag Team Championship.
Their pride may prove to be their downfall, however, now that the title match has been made official for WWE Extreme Rules.
Because while they are making their own homemade T-shirts and daring to make fun of their most “wonderful!” pay-per-view
opponents, Hardy & Wyatt are making plans to “eat and DELETE them!”
“Yeeeessssssss!” Don’t miss out when The B-Team attempts to overthrow the greatest team in the Multiverse! WWE Extreme Rules
streams live this Sunday at 7 ET/4 PT

Finn Bálor vs. “Constable” Baron Corbin

It may not be high noon. Nevertheless, Finn Bálor is poised for a good old-fashioned showdown with the local constable on at
WWE Extreme Rules, the Constable of Raw Baron Corbin that is.
Whether it be Bálor’s light-hearted critique of Corbin’s new vest or The Lone Wolf scoring a tag team victory over his explosive
adversary, a one-on-one contest between them has been brewing for weeks.
When they were forced to team together against Braun Strowman & Kevin Owens on the June 25 edition of Monday Night Raw, the
unlikely partners soon came to blows in a wild brawl that resulted in a count-out loss and stretched all the way up the
ramp and to the backstage area.
The following week, Stephanie McMahon’s appointed representative demanded an apology from Bálor for what he deemed
“unprofessional” and “unacceptable” behavior during a face-to-face that caused the bad blood to escalate and resulted in
the official announcement of a match between them at WWE Extreme Rules.

The New Day vs. SAnitY (Tables Match) (Extreme Rules Kickoff)

In addition to in-depth match-by-match analysis from Renee Young, Booker T, Sam Roberts and David Otunga, WWE Extreme
Rules Kickoff will feature an explosive showdown pitting The New Day against SAnitY in a Tables Match.
Whether attacking The Usos during their long-awaited SmackDown LIVE debut or taking the fight to Jimmy & Jey and United
States Champion Jeff Hardy, SAnitY have clearly been out to make a name for themselves on the blue brand, and their chaotic
ways would soon cast a dark cloud over The Power of Positivity.
Attempting to spread some good vibes (as well as a lot of pancakes) to the WWE Universe, Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier
Woods unveiled their First Annual Third of July Pancake Eating Contest on the July 3 edition of big blue. However, before
a supreme ingester could be declared, Killian Dain, Alexander Wolfe and Eric Young suddenly attacked them from behind. At
the culmination of the savage beatdown, Dain and Wolfe held Woods down on a table while Young elbow-dropped the UpUpDownDown
host through the hardwood to cap off the assault.
As a result, SmackDown General Manager Paige has decided to fan the flame by announcing that the two factions will square
off in a Tables Match, where the only way to win is to put a member of the other team through a table.

Sin Cara vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas (Kickoff Match)

Sin Cara and Andrade “Cien” Almas stole the show when they finally clashed for the first time on SmackDown LIVE. Now,
they’ll get a chance to do it again.
The dynamic Superstars will battle in a rematch on WWE Extreme Rules Kickoff, giving Sin Cara the opportunity to balance
the scales on the defeat he suffered to his one-time friend on Team Blue. Almas, meanwhile, is a former NXT Champion who
is beginning to find his footing as a SmackDown Superstar. He had hoped to make Sin Cara — a onetime colleague and mentor
whom he ruthlessly attacked — his first conquest up the mountain, but before he can begin the climb in earnest, he’ll have
to get past an obstinate foe who is not as easy to put away as El Ídolo had suspected.
Tune in to WWE Extreme Rules Kickoff, streaming live this Sunday at 6 ET/3 PT
